Easy Sunday and Help Requested

Happy Easy Sunday!
I absolutely love this picture of me. I take better selfies than Mommy! Woo-Hoo! The sun is sorta shining today, but no real sun puddles so far.  But we can still get our easy on. Hope you all have shopped yourself out. Or are you waiting for Cyber Monday? Peoples are downright silly this time of year!
I really didn't get any turkey. It was funny smoked stuff. Blech! But the sweet potatoes! Oh, my! I love them! So I was happy! Mommy ate her turkey without me begging for some. But she had to look out when it came to the sweet potatoes! Big NOMS!
Now to depart from our Easy:
I have to ask this since Mommy won't. We are in serious trouble (when aren't we, it seems like). It's Mommy's intsurance again.  They claim she has exceeded the limit of drugs for the year, and her insulin now costs $322. She is dropping them at the end of the year, because she can't afford their beyond limit charges. She has contacted her clinic and they can get her about a week's worth of insulin.
This whole thing is absolutely crazy again! She is switching intsurance again next year, but that means  it will only be $186 for the first month's drugs (with a deductible) which is hard for us to pay but a lot better than $322!
Is there any way to raise some green papers for us? We can't possibly pay for insulin through the end of December and pay rent. And if you don't pay rent here you are out the door! And it's cold out!
There is no way I am getting a cat tree this year. And I can get the litter I don't like cause it's cheaper.  And Mommy has put on hold some of her other medical stuff she pays "out of pocket". If you can help with anything on our wish lists, please do. But right now we need to pay for the insulin, cause, if you didn't know, this is life threatening. Yes, Mommy is a diabetic. And needs her insulin!
We hope we can solve this major problem, but... I really don't want to loose my mommy and my home!
We know that this is a hard time of year to ask, because many are struggling to get presents for their own families and food and other necessary stuff. But please? If you can help that would be oh so appreciated!
If you want our email address, it is ladycristant at aol dot com. The Pay Pal button is to the right. And if you are curious, our new stuff was given to us, we didn't pay anything, and it is all gently used.
This big worry won't stop us from celebrating, at least on my blog if nothing else.
We now return to Easy Sunday:
Stay warm, my friends. Snuggle up to your peoples! Lovies, it's cold outside (unless you live in a warmer place, then, are you prepared for company?)!
love ya,
QUINN

update:
Mommy has been on the phone for a couple of hours! It seems like the insulin will only cost $124 this month (we don't have it), and there will be $182 deductible for next year's new intsurance. Mommy does have what's called "extra help" through the DC peoples, and that does help us (it would be much more for the deductible for next year without it!). She's talked to the pharmacy, her intsurance and Medicare today! Whew! Maybe now someone out there can help us get through this! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

That is awful that the insulin is so much money and what awful insurance you have. I will see what I can donate and I will say a prayer.

Seems to me that you have a pretty rotten insurance company. Insurance is supposed to help and how can a company say your mum is over her limit for insulin when her body is sayin' she needs the stuff to stay well? I'm purrin' and prayin' that your next company will be a much, much better one.

Sure hope and pawray that your insulin will be available when you need it.

Hope you can find insurance that covers this ongoing vital necessity properly.

We are so sorry to hear of your struggles. We know all too well what it's like to have a lot of (kitty and people) medical expenses.

Can your mommy get Medicaid? Our Mom has that in addition to Medicare and it helps a lot. If she can get Medicaid, you could suggest hers look into Medicare advantage plans instead of just regular Medicare plans. The Medicare advantage plans are all-inclusive and shouldn't have a limit on prescription costs.

We had to raise money for Lita's dental surgery a month or so ago and got a very generous response from the cat blogging community. There are a lot of crowdfunding websites out there you can raise money through for medical expenses. If you set up a campaign, let us know, and we will share it with our friends to see if anyone can help.

Your mommy could also ask churches in her area for help. A lot of churches will help with paying rent or medical expenses.

We wish we could give you the green papers you need, but we hope some of these suggestions will help. Please e-mail us if you want any more ideas. The Mom will try to think of some other ways to raise the moneys for you.
