Guess What?

It's SATURDAY! The Sun is making Sunpuddles!  It's warm enough for Windows to be Opened. And although Traci didn't make it yesterday, she's coming today!
Enjoy your weekend.  Hope the weather is fine where you are!

Thursday Morning

As fun as the other day was for mom (the bus driver couldn't find one of the addresses he had to go to), mom has an orthopeedist appointment today (at the very same address). Since it took an hour and a half to two hours to get home Tuesday she is a bit leery about today. It should have taken no more than 45 minutes to an hour, considering rush hour traffic and other passengers. Cross your paws I see mama today at all! The weather is cool but nice, and I'm going to have sunpuddles this morning (we face the rising sun), foodies and water and lots of nap times.
I have not been feeling too well, so the peace and quiet should suit me fine. But be sure I didn't miss my Tempies this morning!
If we have other exciting news today when mom gets home, we'll let you know.
Traci is coming tomorrow. I can't wait.
Oh, ya, in the middle of the night our puter spoke to us. Or so mama claims. Hmmmm. Might not be the right doctor to see today, after all.
love to all,
brandi

Tuxie Tuesday

Good morning. I think.  It still 20 o'dark here, and mama is up.  She has to leave later this morning for the day, so now she gets to do my stuff.  Silly old doctors again.  She has to check in with her diabetic nurse (he's a he nurse) and her general practitioner (planned before the knee thing, but that's going to be one of the topics). She still has to get a orthopeedist appointment, too.  Better her than me.  Although we both like our medical beans very much, so what am I complaining about?
I will just spend my afternoon snoozing without any interruptions. Well, I will miss her a little.  And she better give me Tempies the minute she gets home! And, mom, don't forget to leave me some foodies so I don't starve and some water so I don't feel like I am in the Sahara Desert all day.  I have better things to do than starve and be thirsty.  There's plenty of naps to be taken and short grazings of the food and water. So remember!
Have a beautiful Tuxie Tuesday, all,
love,
brandi

Update on all the happenings!

Hello, all.  It has been hectic around here the last couple of days.  Yes, mama ended up in the ER. They said that the arthur-itis in her right knee is pretty serious, and she has to go to a special doctor (ortho-peedist). She has a walker.  It's that bad.  And she has been hobbling around here and saying "ouch" a lot.  No, really.  No bad words!
But she didn't get any of her errands run at Target. So no puppy pads. But she ordered groceries on line from a local company she uses, and they had most of the supplies she needed.  It just cost more.  And they even have Tempies! So this afternoon we will get them.  Gee.  And I was down to my last few Tempies! Okay, mom, and you were down to your [never mind, kitty]. I was going to say last bag of microwave popcorn, mommy! I promise! They are among her "safe" snacks cause of her diabetes.
Anyway, mom has been on heavy pain pills so she slept a lot yesterday.  And fought blogger and the puter a lot when she was awake. Issues have mostly been solved.  On top of all the puter problems (adobe issues amongst them) she now has something called the fire fox, or fox fire, or something like that, and she had to put up with new Blogger, too. Bad words were said. Trust me.  You wouldn't want your kittens and puppies to hear some of them!
She has spent lots of hours (that she was awake yesterday) saying bad words to the computer and even crying.  It was a highly emotional day around here, after all.
Hey, I did what I could.  I kept her company when she slept.  And stayed out of the way of the walker!
So now she has ER charges (since she wasn't admitted--they charge, including for the ambulance),a taxi ride home (costing more than double the last time she took a cab),  the costs of ordering everything to be delivered instead of boughted in the store, and the fix-it charges for the puter. All on top of the regular stuff she's behind on. And I still need to go to my v-e-t. We seriously need help!  She didn't even order frozen pizzas!
The only thing she laughed about yesterday was the charge for the pain pills (10) they gaved her at the hospital. 64 cents!
I didn't even mention that it turned really cold here in Minnesota. They had snow up north. Brrrrr. It's only officially AUTUMN!
There. Now you are sort of caught up.
Now I'm tired. Lucky kitties don't need pills to sleep!
love,
mommy's sweet brandi
and now blogger erased my far right column stuff.
We can't take this, we can't take this, we can't take this!
Okay, most of them I put back. Now they all crowd the other column. Any easy fixes? And we mean easy!

Oh, Please

Anyone out there who can help:
we now have mozilla firefox as a browser
We cannot get adobe flash to work
It says it crashed.
We have tried.  We reinstalled Java
We tried to install Adobe again
It won't.  It says crashed. there is a problem.
We tried to debug.
It won't debug. A blank page shows up.
HELP
Mommy is not a tech.  We need step by step help.
Please, someone out there???
When the nice man fixed our puter on line he ignored the problem sign about adobe. Wouldn't fix it.
We can't afford to spend any more green papers on this.
So far, over 4 hours of mommy's frustrations have been spent today.
She has medical issues she would rather spend her time on, right now.
HELP!!!!!!
Please???????????????

Alert: I think it's fixed. thanks all

We Crashed!

Yes, our puter crashed yesterday and we were not able to do anything.  We spent hours and hours (okay, three--that's bad enough). The one thing we couldn't do was Blogger.  We couldn't post, we couldn't comment, we couldn't do anything.  When we finally connected to the experts, they had to go over our whole puter and fix eighty-leben things. So sposedly now we won't freeze up all the time, get error messages, have to hard boot when we get stuck, etc, etc, and we can post and comment on here, and we have to get used to the foxfire firewall and browser (good-bye IE). It ottomatically put us one the new blogger style (we are not used to it), which we hate.  We have to learn a new browser AND the new blogger and, well, BLAGH! You KNOW mommy is no techie!!
Mommy is going to leave today, and it's yucky out. So we'll have the whole weekend to figure this all out. And I get to finally sleep.
Anyway, she has to run errands today and stuff, her knee hurts, and she just spent a hundred green papers to get this stoopid puter to work.
Any help would be appreciated.  As we have to buy food and pay bills and I want my Tempies!
And I don't want to have to listen to her worry even more about how we are going to pay this, and that, and the other thing. I already have to listen to her about this puter!!!
So that's the update.
HELP. I'M BEING HELD CAPTIVE BY A CRAZY WOMAN!
love,
brandi

Emergency note:  Mommy hurted her knee when she got off the Metro Bus really bad. She got to the bank.  She got a cup of coffee, but couldn't remember where the ladybean's litterbox was so she ended up walking a LONG way through the skyway and another building where she knew there was a litterbox. At that point she ended up  in so much pain she called 911 and went to the Emergency Room. And spend the next 6 hours there. Needless to say, this is expensive. So she has even more to worry about. Her arthur-itis is now very very bad and she has to go to a special doctor as soon as possible. And they gave her a little old lady walker. Probably permanent. Can anyone help? We're even worse off financially than before!!!

We just heard about Ann's Vic passing. Our hearts and purrayers are with her family, and we are sending as many (((hugs))) as we possibly can.

Tuesday Morning

Mommy founded this picture (no, she didn't take it) of our historic Stone Arch Bridge over the Mississippi:

If she biggyfies it, it gets all blurry. Sorry.  Somewhere over the bridge (she thinks) is where we live.  Way over.  You can't see anything, can you? Thought not. Anyway we live north of this bridge a couple of miles.  That's the Mississippi, and if you had turned around if you were there you would see  south and downtown.
Anyway, it is getting colder here, and mommy only left one window sorta open a few inches last night.  The weatherman said cover your plants overnight, so that must mean it was time to give your plants blankets. We don't have any outside plants up here. There is no window ledge to put anything on, and we are too high up. And when the windows were open it was kinda chilly.
Mommy is mad at me.  When she cleaned the living room floor last night, I peed on it right in front of her.  She wouldn't give me any Tempies last night.  This morning I gotted a snuggle, but so far, no Tempies or Denties or anything but my regular foodies and water. I really really messed up. And I did it again.
*sigh*

Saturday Easy

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.  Cool. The windows are open. The breeze isn't tearing our blinds down. It's sunny.  And I've already conned mom out of two Tempies sessions this morning! Oh, and Traci is coming to see us today.
I think I will rest up now. You all have an easy weekend. I will as soon as the car alarm down in the parking lot will be shut off.
Beans who can't start their cars right. Good grief.
Ahh, there it's done.
As I was saying, you all have an easy peaceful weekend.
Mommy, why did you take a picture of my bath?
Sheesh. Just getting clean for the weekend!

A Wordy Saturday

Oh, hello. Mom's been up for hours, and I told her she better type my stuff and forget cleaning, emails, other blogs, the news, breakfast, and fixing stuff.  Our Swiffer Wet Mop wouldn't work again and we can't get Windows One Note to stop opening up when we start the puter. She fixed the mop, but hasn't got the One Note to GO AWAY. She has tried several different ways, got lots of hints on line, and it still pops up when the puter is turned on.  We don't use it, and I want it gone.  Oh, well.  It took mom about a year to finally get my blog redone to the three column style (thank you, thank you thank you for ALL your help, by the way), so I imagine it will take that long to figure this out.  Like, why did that start doing that? We didn't tell the puter to do that. And how can we make it go away when all the directions we've gotten don't seem to do it?
Anyhow, mom spent some of yesterday downtown at the senior center, and she needed more cleaning stuff (no, no, no!), and brought some microwave popcorn home (and I only eat the cheese flavored stuff, and that she didn't buy). At least she brought some of her lunch home...ahhh, turkey and Havarti cheese.
Nom!
She couldn't get anything else, cause we don't have the green papers. She's still really worried cause we are still behind in intsurance payments (she's afraid of getting dis-enrolled and not be able to get her medicines--particularly the intsulin). Which is why she didn't spend a lot of money.
They were offering a deal at Target on a new mop with lots of extras, but it was more money than she spent all day.  And besides, she fixed ours!
They had weird pictures in the center. Every month they change.  This month it was "art" from the 20's and 30's.  Mama said she really didn't want to see a lot of bare boobies and bare tushies!  Almost right in front of her was a picture of a lady showing her bare tushie.  She said yuck, and a lot of other people there said, well, it IS art.  And it lead to the guys telling dirty jokes. That's not what art is sposed to do, right?
Somehow we need about $500 or so right now, to bring all our bills up to date (including the intsurance) and at least get me one trip to the vet (and I needs lab works bad, too, and probably medicines).  The money generously given to us so far has paid for foodies and some back insurance and medicines, and we know there are lots of beans and kitties out here that need stuff, too, so we are more than grateful for what we already have been given.  At least one month we didn't have to totally rely on the food shelf! Mommy still misses her peanut butter and her crumpets. It's been several months since she has seen them, since it's not exactly essential. But we were quite desperate for awhile.  Well, at least she was. I had plenty of foodies. She had to figure out what to do with a few cans of soup and vegetables, so we wented to the food shelf. That's sposed to be like a week's food. Ha!
So anyway, enough of that.  The day is sunny, and I am sitting in sunpuddles on my bed, and the windows are open and there is a nice crisp breeze that is coming in.  A few days ago the wind was soo blowy that one of the blinds fell. Fixable. But crazy LOUD. It's just pleasant today. I think fall is coming.  But none of the trees around here have started turning colors yet.
Mom wishes she had a new camera, cause ours died.  She could take more pictures of me, maybe (and I mean maybe), and some of the flowers and stuff around here before winter!
Tomorrow is Mo Cats Day. And also one of mommy's brother's birthday. He turns 67, mom says.  That's not even close to my age in human years! Ha! I'm HIS older niece!
Enjoy your Saturday, all,
Pray heartily for those in need,
and be thankful for what you have,

Tuxie Tuesday

I haven't done one of these for a while, I guess. So first some stuff.  Then a picture of mommy's favorite kitty--ME!
Mommy and I are having bug problems. That's number one.  Mama loves this place, but not the bug problems.  I have escaped twice now.  Those things tickle!
She really has to take me to my v-e-t-s as soon as she can.  I need all sorts of medicine and some s-h-o-t-s. And that takes green papers, too. Help if you can!
Oh, and a bitey tickley bug repelllent, if there is such a thing. Thank cod it is not fleas or ticks. Flea baths--ew!
She found an environmentally green remedy, but it is only good if you spray the bugs themselves. It suffocates them.
Enough.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
