Weird. Mommy was watching tv last night and when she was going to get up to visit the powder room she had a stabbing pain. Her back went out and she didn't even do anything! She made it to the powder room and took a couple over the counter pain pills with her usual night meds and shot. She said it's a little sore today, but no shooting pains. Thank goodness. A nice warm shower really helped.
Sometime today maintenance is supposed to come fix something in the powder room. She called in a work order yesterday.
The social worker was actually nice yesterday. I curled up on the end of the bed and looked pretty for her. I think that helped! Don't you??
On the middle of the month my Mommy goes in for her evaluation for a wheelchair. Finally. Wonder (if they approve) how long more she has to wait. She sure has been moving stuff around to make room for it when and if it comes.
Tonight is National Night Out and our building hosts the neighborhood party. If Mommy's back is better she will go to it. She has of course been before, and she says the neighbors are fairly good cooks. They set up a big grill for chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs, and brats, and have lots of different homemade salads, and of course, beans and corn. And sometimes Ice Cream!
It is starting to get hot again, so who knows if she will actually go. Usually she goes back inside to the community room to eat, but they haven't had the a/c on down there lately. If she brings stuff back up here I may get a small bite of meat, maybe?
Tuxies rule!
love ya,
QUINN

Glad your mommy's feelin' better Quinn and glad da social worker was nice. We's sure your bein' purretty helped a lot. As fur da chair, once it's been submitted to Medicare or yuour insurance, mommy says it can still take up to a couple, 3 months. Dat all kinda depends on what you's approved fur. Ifin it's a regular chair, 'lectric chair and what ifin any accessories are needed. So good luck with all dat. Sounds like your mommy's in fur some good eatin' and maybe you too. Enjoy and stay cool.
Luv ya'

Quinn, I know about that other beautiful Tuxie Katie. She is gorgeous just like we, you and I, are. Now I have to say I have a penchant for ornj mancats and Waffles just bowled me over but alas, he is too young for me.
Thanks for the share, love reading your blog.
Hope your mom got to go and got to eat down with the neighbors. We know she loves your company but sometimes a human just needs to be with other humans.
