Mommy came back from the evaluation and Medicare turned her down for the wheelchair. She CAN get a manual one, but has to pay for it by herself. Which she can't do. She doesn't have money for that.
After 3 and a half months waiting they told her if she can make it to the evaluation with her walker under her own power she doesn't need a chair. Even though she has Arthur-it is. Even though she falls a lot.
She is kinda upset right now, so I have to play nursie. Thought you all would like to know the results.

Sorry your mommy didn't qualify Quinn, but we kinda suspected as much. Fallin' isn't a requirement fur a wheelchair. And typically, Medicare starts out with a manual chair befur da lectric one. Da wheelchairs are more 'bout your mommy's ability to walk and get 'round in her home than anythin'. Like, you know in da meownin' mommy can't walk at all. She was fallin' outta bed and draggin' herself to da p0awdee box room befur they would even start to talk to her 'bout a wheelchair. Sendin' hugs.
Luv ya'

I wish we could offer some help. We're sorry your mom didn't qualify for a wheelchair. That seems unfair.
How sad that your mum does not qualify for a wheelchair.
We purr her walker has a seat on it so she can rest when walking about.
We send purrs that the two of you are managing and able to enjoy this Summer.
Purrs Georgia and Julie,

Oh Quinn. I have some pretty uncharitable thoughts about them. They should only have to come in, hat inland and make a request and be told an unfeeling untrue thing like that~!
We're sorry your mom didn't qualify for a wheelchair. That has to be disappointing. :(
We're sorry to hear your mom didn't qualify this time. Don't give up! Keep trying.
