Another update, good and bad

o-oh!
Our computer  and Wi-Fi and phone went dead. We had to wait several days for the cable company. We couldn't use our Kindle even.
What happened??
The plug in wasn't all the way in the wall.
Mommy, even I know that was dumb!
It's after Christmas. Even I can laugh and tell everyone and not get in trouble with the BIG JOLLY GUY.
We missed Christmas on line, so Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
Now for the bad news. On the 2nd, management will be in here for an inspection for bugs.  They haven't been in here for bugs for quite a while, but they say anyone who is next to someone who is in trouble will immediately be treated. That is great! But if we are the ones who are next door to the poor renters, Mommy isn't going to be home, and they don't treat apartments with the yuckie smells that have animals in them. That's when we get moved for the day. Mommy has another doctor visit that day, so she wont be home. How am I going to sit in my pto all day alone? Somebody will steal me!

And here is the good news, waited for last, didn't we.
Got my wheel chair. It's a manual, but it is much better. We'll keep waiting for the electric one!!!

Christmas is Coming!

It's December 23! Yes. One more day till Christmas Eve.  Mommy forgot, when she turned in our order, to order milk.  So She had to put in a new order. It came this morning. She decided to add more to the order because if she only turned in "milk" it would cost $10 for delivery. So she ordered some salad stuff and a couple of other things, including egg nog. Which is not for me (but she ordered some sour cream which I did get a small taste of. Yummy!). The sour cream is good in some pasta recipes.

Well, anyway, Mommy got a couple pressies! A new hat and gloves. She found out the last few very cold days  she only had one glove in her coat pocket, so this was a wonderful and very needed pressie.  Then she also got a new coffee mug with a little black kitty on it! I love it. So does she.
With three doctor visits this week, Mommy has two more next week. At least. And no new wheel chair. But warm gloves to wear!! It is a manual chair, after all.
Small blessings. But sweet.

MOMMY, MOMMY! BLOGGER FRIENDS ALL!

I got my first Holiday pressie. I GOT A NEW BOLT AND IT EVEN CAME WITH COFFEE FOR Mommy! And good batteries!!!!

Mommy you only have $300 overdrafts and now that your wheelchair is sort of broken, life goes on anyway.
If some more peoples will help us, we would be able to catch up with our bills and stay housed. and did you know Mommy has a go fund me page for a new electric wheel chair? Paypal for mostly me and a go fund me page for Mommy's wheelchair. The manual wheel chair place promised delivery last Friday and didn't show up, and said they would call back Monday then they said the reason it fell  apart was Mommy. And they didn't even do anything about the seat cushion And because the wheelchair flipped and hurt her. And they need another  prescription before they did anything anyway, and Mommy's doctor would have to give correct measurements. Well, they didn't measure us at the manual wheelchair place before we got this one either,
Ah, guys, Doctors are not mechanics,  isn't that a wheelchair peoples thing? Mommy missed  a Christmas party in our building already because of the wheelchair.
Oh, yeah they said they would try to deliver Wednesday. Well, Mommy has a special test scheduled for Wednesday for her heart and Mommy thinks that is more important than a maybe delivery.
And it is ChristmasTime.
So the Wheelchair company says Mommy should stop swearing (is this fair after a lot of calls about different things concerning the chair) which is something she rarely does and was not helped and was very upset.
I don't have a Chewey food delivery til Wednesday, either.
Mommy says I have been so sweet to her, coming and curling  up on her lap. Hey, I AM her nursie! I'll give laps and biscuits if that makes her feel better!!!!!!!!
Wishing for some help for Christmas, we hope none of you are going through what we are.
We will  be going to the doctor for something called the "echo" on Wednesday and the cardiac nurse on Thursday and she has other problems she is going to start taking care of again.
We wish we had a better place to live, food to eat, medicines for Mommy and  they are important gifts we really want. I do have my Bolt!!!!
Mommy and I will be back before Santa comes. Well, Santa usually skips us.

Oh, one other nice things happening to others? One of Mommy's relatives recently adopted an older woofie with only three legs that nobody wanted. Sweet!!!!! Go rescuers!!!!!!!

Saturday Stuff

Mornin' . Another peppermint tea day for Mommy, today. And it is  a 20 degrees F day.  Hope it warms up. The last thing Mommy actually shared with me yesterday was her split pea soup. Nummy!
She says it was really funny that when she was little she hated the stuff, now it could be considered a gourmet meal around here.  There used to be a restaurant downtown that served homemade pea soup every Wednesday and she still mourns the closing of the restaurant. But the 2nd generation owners wanted to retire.
We think that one of our lovely readers was so nice to put some monies in our PayPal and we thank him for his  generosity. We still need some more just to get to a $0 balance so we won't have those overdraft charges, plus monies for our insurance and for medicines for our Mommy's prescriptions. We aren't out of foodies yet, but bills have to be paid.
Should we set up a go fund me page for the electric wheel chair Mommy so needs? What they gave her was a manual one, which helps with not falling, but we requested a pillow for the current chair and can't even get that, and Mommy's back hurts, and one-handed driving is hard when you are carrying something to drink or eat (including for ME).
Pizza is a dream for us. My Bolt is a dream for me.
Overdrafts are our nightmare. Please spare if you can.  Please?

Thursday's Chillie Update

We woke up early this morning and it was 17 degrees F.  Brrrrrr. Okay, this kitty actually climbed on Mommy's lap in the morning.  Forgive me, this little kitty non lap kitty needed Mommy's warmth as she drank her coffee. I slept close to her all night and that lap continued the warmth.
Time to turn up the heat.
That means Mommy is getting old. She never used to turn up the heat all winter. Now her bones need more heat.
Wait. I like more heat now, too. I'm not that old. Right???
Please think about sending us some monies. We just found out our cost of living increase this year for social security ends up to be about $6. We can never bail out at this rate.
Ahhhh. The heat came  on!!

Hey it snowed last night! And it didn't even melt. Much.

PS. If anyone can donate monies to our Pay Pal account, we would appreciate it.  We still have some bills to pay this month and our social security is coming in two weeks.  We just found out our bank balance is -$50 and they charge overdraft fees of over $5 a day till the 20th. Please, please helpppp!!! if you can. We can never catch up on everything at this rate. Thank you so very much!!!

Wednesday Words and Plees

We know it is a busy time of year and not efurryone has green papers to spare, but if you do, please please think about helping us and sending some to our PayPal account.  We are having a tough time right now. Not only with our foodie budget (our counselor just says go to the food shelves, but there are things they don't have, like fresh milk and fresh bread and veggies that are not half rotting and k cups for our Keurig and nutritional frozen foods and special diabetic socks and laundry pods and warm pj's and a lap robe for Mommy's wheel chair. We can't even think about getting a new Bolt laser, or renewing our Netflix or even Meals on Wheels.

Me?  I miss my little laser. Mommy? She needs some good AA batteries (the cheap ones sploded inside my Bolt and that's why Mommy had to throw the laser out). Our tv remote won't work without batteries currently. And Mommy needs green papers for some medicines. We wish we could help others. What we can do is pray for those who are needy like us or need some health issue help prayed for them.
We do have a huge turkey leg in the freezer for Thanksgiving. So that is covered.
Once again, please think of helping us if you can.

😿  oh, pretty laser light, you were so fun. i chased your cheery light all over this tiny apartment! to have to see Mommy throw you in the garbage was so sad.
she said the little batteries sploded inside you, and she couldn't get them all out cause one of them melted itself into you and you weren't safe any more cause Mommy couldn't get it out. you were too messy to clean up.
now what??? we don't have the green papers to replace you, sweet pretty light, now i have to be sad. goodbye sweet light.

Friday's Here

Mommy wasn't home much on Halloween.  She had a doctor's appointment and then had a grocery store gift card (thank you! From one of you out there!) and since it is two weeks till her check comes she decided to use it.  It wasn't much, but it got us a loaf of bread, a box of crackers and some cheese. So we had baked cheese sandwiches for dinner. Yum. She also tried the prepared Cobb salad at their salad bar. She said it was like eating weeds from a park. Wrong grocery store, but that was the one we had the gift card for.  Ooh, they have other really good stuff there. But their salads weren't.
When she woke up Wednesday she didn't feel good, so she stayed in bed a lot. We don't think it was the salad. Truly! She ached a lot and was really cold so she decided to drink some special tea (plum and then peppermint after it). It worked!
So Thursday was quiet except for the election people knocking on the door and Mommy only yelled at me once.
Now here is a secret. The chicken pecan cranberry salad offered at, yes, Domino's is scrumptious! But Mommy didn't have any coupons for that. Try the salads there. We don't even eat pizza any more. Well, if we had the green papers we probably would. But their salads are really good!
And they didn't even reimburse us for this testimony!

we know we haven't been around much lately. Here's an update:

mommy's physical therapy is almost done. she's getting more work done on her body with medicine and stuff. oh, and i am working hard at lowering her bloody pressure and we all know that is important.  she almost likes her chair, but this a small partment, and she is kinda clutsy with it. ii still don't like riding in it, but i am not the gorgeous raena and dezi. I do try my best when I help mommy, though.
someone is in today helping us clean, i am trying to supervise, but it is noisy in here and i don't like that. the lady also put a broom in front of my foodies and it is hard to get to. and she has taken the boards out of the shelves. i sure hope she puts them back!
and yes, my chair is gone! waaaaah!
well there is more room in the living room to play and  do zoomies..
oh, the very good news?
the windows are open today!

What's with the Car Blogosphere? we can't enter anything.

last week one day it was in the 90's and the next day, when  mommy had another appointment, it was in the 50's and raining. she didn't take an umbrella or a jacket, and she said she was frozen when she came home.  since it was lunchtime for her she had a bowl of chili to warm up.  she likes it a little spicy, so i didn't want to share it with her. but I did like snuggling with her afterwards.
and it was 90 degrees on saturday and really muggy. someday soon it will be cool enough to open the windows again before we have to leave them closed for winter.
mommy is going through her exercises with her therapists and relying more and more on correctly learning her balance again, and also correctly using her chair.
she has been told she has to get back to a cleaner as soon as she can and stop falling (and that is basically what she's doing with her therapists--they come to us and they are two really sweet ladies and they are helping her physically and also helping her with ease of access here) or she will be forced to go to a special place permanently and I can't come with her.  Waaaah.
we need your prayers again.

HI THERE

We've been hit with bad news and good news again. Mommy's port is gone, but she has another deadly infection. They put her on yet another anty bye otic and she has an appointment on Monday.
So that's the news. Good and bad.
She was at the hospital for a few hours yesterday. too. This time when she fell she hit her head really hard.
The only good thing I can think of other than that is that the weather is beautiful. Windows open, gentle breezes, wonderful smells. That part of life is good, And we are thankful.

Tuxie Tuesday

mommy is letting me do this again. woo-hoo. anyway, she has to go to the hospital this afternoon for what's called a ultra-sound. or sonogram or exray  or something. to see how her drain is working. maybe she can have it removed soon? she does need the port cover replaced.
she has been having major problems with the new wheelie chair and this morning she had a nice man come in and put in a new part.
i don't have any problems with the new chair, other than the fact that it doesn't have arms wide enough for me to sit on, and i don't like laps.
we will check in again.
anybody out there like my typing? i'm not good at capitals, but the rest isn't too hard.

News news news news!!

mommy was deathly ill in the hospital for the last two weeks. she had kidney stones removed from one of her kidneys and got a massive infection.
she is home!!!! and weak.  and they finally gave her the wheelie chair thing!
i loves my mommy. i loves my mommy.
even with yet another bag coming out of her (drainage for the infection).
more at a later time.
but i loves my mommy and she is HOME!

Just a quick update. Mommy is running a fever and yesterday we had a visit from our lovely (handsome) paramedics  . Mommy had collapsed and they were concerned about her heart. She didn't want to go to the hospital, but promised to see her cardiologist at the first opportunity, which will be tomorrow.
Very serious.

Life at Our House

Hi! Miss us? Well, we have not had a fun time. I thought we better let you know what has been up:
The 11th Mommy went in for her surgery.  It went fairly quickly, and they said she could go home that afternoon.  She felt sooooo lousy!  When she finally got home she didn't even make it through the lobby before she threw up.  She threw up a few more times at home. She was extremely weak, and at one point, going to the kitchen for a glass of water she lost it, collapsed, had to call paramedics again. They wanted her to go back to the hospital but she refused.  The good thing is, not after three days but after 7 she finally stopped peeing blood. No doubt because she has been faithfully flushing her urinary tract with lots of ice water (I mean huge glasses of it every day!). But her appetite is not very good still. Nobody warned her about that. 
So I have been snuggling with her, and watching her and being nursie a lot.  She seems to like it when I make biscuits on her, so I have been making that part of my daily take care of mom routine.
Oh, yeah. I've caught up on all three seasons of Dr. Jeff, Rocky Mountain Vet! Awesome!! And, go, Dr. Pol!
Gorilla glue is dangerous.

😼 Hope you all had a safe 4th.  We did.  There were more fireworks closer this time, but being with my Mommy makes me not mind them.
Mommy had another appointment about her surgery, and it is going to be on next Tuesday early in the morning. So think good thoughts then, okay?  She will be able to go home the same day.
Still no cell phone, so no way for Mommy to make long distance phone calls for free.

Happy 4th!

short update

Another trip to the ER for Mommy last week. She is getting closer to her operation, though. It's supposed to be on July 11, now.
She lost her cell phone on the way home from the hospital she thinks, only it costs to get another one. And it is a free government phone. But replacements cost.
She is so far behind in bills she's worried a lot. Can anyone help?
I have been a good girl, of course.

Still here.

We have been very quiet because Mommy hasn't been feeling well.  She has to get healthier to have surgery, so we are working on that. I check on her all the time, too. And she is doing better. She really doesn't want to do anything much of the time, though. She has been in the hospital again, and just Thursday saw her doctor.
Oh, about that, she got on a crazy ride home Thursday.  She was with a couple other riders and went  to the southwestern part of the twin cities on the way (we are northeasters). Normally this would be kind of an adventure for her. Lots of rural areas, lovely houses. Pretty.  But it was over 80 degrees and they had no air conditioning. Oooh, she was tired when she finally got home!
There was one bright light on this trip. There, on the side of one of the roads, was a deer! How cute!!
No camera on hand, though.
It is really hot this weekend, but our little a/c unit is taking care of us. May you all have ways of staying cool.

Quinnie has an announcement

HI! We have been lost for a while, huh? Well, Mommy had some emergency surgery and then wasn't really feeling okay. It was for her kidneys and bladder.
She needs more surgery and hasn't been feeling good.  Throw in having to go through another review AND legal stuff.  She just wasn't feeling good and oh, yes, throw in a major tooth problem and a horrible high temp. And she had to run some errands down in the nasty road construction down town. The building her bank is in, for example, is entirely cut off!
She WENTto a pre-op for another surgery for the same problem only they turned her down, saying she wasn't healthy enough to make it through the surgery.
She mostly has been curling up and sleeping through the pain.
PLEASE SEND PRAYERS.
And maybe a replacement for our sick Dell mousie?

We might not be posting a lot, due to Mommy's being really ill.
I have even given her lots of bisquits to help... and you know I don't do those a lot!

Saturday, as Mommy's Day approaches

😉What a week! We are sooooo in need of nappy time.  I actually---oh, remember I got a nice little cat tree (not too tall, I like being a jungle kitty!) from sweet friends some time ago? Well, I finally decided the little cubby hole on the bottom was a nice comfy place to curl up and be right by mommy in the living room. So I have a new comfy corner and if mommy doesn't see me sometimes, I can nap and she can't bug me but we can still be close.

We are going to have to adjust our budget yet again, because we have our air conditioner summer charges coming up. Minnesota DOES get hot in summer.
We have groceries coming today. And Chewy on Monday. Now we are very poor again.
 We have a new roach inspection Wednesday with that nasty bug guy. But we spent time with our cleaning friend this last Wednesday cleaning cupboards and scaring out a couple of our unfriendly bug visitors. So we consider the visit worthwhile. Scary, though. And we once again have a major inspection coming up.
Mommy finally found a comfortable and inexpensive watch! No more searching around for the time! It has a big "face" and the band is comfortable, it's a brand she's been wearing for years, And it was at Amazon. Now that took her less than half a nap to open the box it came in, adjust the time and put it on her wrist!
She accidentally dropped her flip phone and drowned it and is getting a replacement (government free phone). Well, we have it but can't use it because she doesn't know how to use a smart phone! If anyone can help, PLEASE! Seriously! Two days and counting I have been putting up with her!
Ah, windows open, cool breezes, expectations of snow fall. Spring Life in Minnesota.

Mommy is losing her hair. Really. There is a medical term for it caused by stress, but I can't remember it. Alopecia??
First, things don't get delivered by our postman. Or the boxes look like someone has been playing soccer with them. Wearing steel toed shoes.
 They left an email that an attempt was made the 12th and no one was here. Roll Call on the 12th: Mommy? Here. Karen? Here! They have so many complaints at the local USPO!Who wasn't here? Quinnie? No I was Here.  (A lot of them are important like our medical supplies or new checks for mom. Or statements for rent, or the folic acid we were advised to start on because my mommy's hair is falling out. And they think of lots of stuff to add all the time to our rules here.
Oh, and then A*l screwed up mom's account which means we didn't pay the rent yet. And so did F*******t. They have us with payments for 4 months! And won't give any back. We weren't 4months past due. It was our error. But because they got such a big payment they are waiting a long time to return it.
Speaking of rules, they added more stuff to living here that Mommy can't possibly do. Google is doing it's part making us sign in to blogger and some other accounts. And Meals on Wheels forgot to give us our lunch on Wednesday. But the lady apologized very nicely and before we could ask for credit, she suggested it. That was an excellent  save, mommy said.
And now it's the week end.  Thank you God for giving Mommy the patience to survive this week. Amen.
It was Black Friday, yesterday. Thank you Jesus for all your help on the world's behalf. We certainly need it!

PS. Problems included the whole computer set-up and my floor lamp and one of my land phones. Eek! Karen came over Wednesday and helped figure everything out. I still don't know what was wrong, but Karen solved the problem. Now, anyone whose phone number I had I don't anymore. Except for ones that are on my cell. And that was mostly for Metro rides and "family" members. You know, the "family" who bitched me out for being in the hospital a while back and offered no sympathy at all.
Thank you all of you who are clearly better family than I have ever had. Although any of your phone numbers I had have disappeared. Feel free to call and give me your numbers again.  I miss YOUR phone calls! We love you.
