Hey, it's Friday the 13th. No big deal.  After all, my sweetie is a black kitty.  And he is good luck. And I am not superstitious, anyway.  Just cautious.

Storms are coming again.  I am catching the sun while it's here.

Oh, yeah.  Mama put my litterbox in the shower again.  I kinda protested where she moved it before and started to pee on the floor, instead. Well, to be exact, where Traci decided to move it. So now it is in the shower "until I learn not to pee on the floor". 

Having your own private litterbox area (the shower with the curtain partially closed) is primo. Tee hee.

So she has to move it every day for her shower.  Big deal.

As promised, here's today's daily update and voting reminder for our Pepsi Refresh Everything Grant. Please be aware that three VERY important, VERY short notes follows this update. Please read them. They're worth your time - promise.

Quick Important Notes:
1. I've learned that Pepsi is also counting COMMENTS for some reason. So today and every day when you vote, please post a comment - even if it's just two words. We need to get our COMMENT COUNT up as well. [its down farther on the link--comment after you vote, please, on the Pepsi site-brandi]
2. I realize that our position has not changed at all this week. Guess what? Nobody else's position has changed this week either, at least in the $250K category. This would seem to defy mathematical logic, and so I have written to the company in charge of administering the Pepsi Refresh Project to express what I think are understandable concerns. If / when I hear back from these folks, I'll publish the response, since I know we'd all be interested to learn why, with many tens of thousands of people voting for these proposals on a daily basis, none of their ranks seem to have changed - up or down - at all in the previous week.
3. Some people have suggested that they're having trouble registering their votes. Here are the instructions for voting. Following these directions will ensure that your vote is counted by Pepsi:
a. Go to http://gulf.refresheverything.com/gulfmodestneeds
b. When you get to this page, on the right side of the screen, you'll see a vote button. Click that button.
c. If you're already registered with Pepsi, you'll be prompted to login. If you're not already registered, you'll be prompted to register. Registration is SPAM free and takes about two seconds.
d. When you log in, you'll hear a sound like a Pepsi being poured into a glass. This doesn't mean you've voted. It means you're now logged in to Pepsi's site.
e. Now, click the 'Vote' button again. When you do, the vote button will change to display a message like 'Sweet!' or 'Right On!' and you'll get a message that says 'Now, why not promote this idea?' If you see those messages, you'll know you've voted correctly and that your vote 'counted' for Modest Needs.
