Black Friday

Mama is very sad and unhappy, but at least she knows it's over at her work, and they aren't dragging it on and not telling her. She will still go back next week, and if they want someone to train the new person, she will do so. But now mama has to work hunt again.

I am worried.

We are planning on purraying at 8 pm central tonight for Edsel's mom.

Could I ask you all to pray for my mama and me, too?

Best wishes to all!

Of course, we will say purrayers for you and your mom. Mom doesn't know how to help but a girlfriend of hers suggested that maybe your mom could join a temp agency that might be able to place her in another job. You can look for jobs here . Mom says a lot of companies post her a'cause it's free to do so.

We know it's difficult right now and we will keep you in our thoughts. Please let us know if we can help in anyway.

I agree with princessmia...Temp places are always looking for help. Sometimes you can get hired permanant right away. Temp places are good for office workers. I haven't read enough of your back post to know what kind of work your mama does, but my mama said if your mama can work retail to try walmart. It might not be the best job in the world, but she heard they have pretty good benifits, and start off a little more on pay than some other retail stores. Also if you do retail and have on in your area, try Dillards..They pay more than mim wage..

We will pray for you, Brandi's mom. We know you are so sad and scared, but we hope that this will mean something better for you in the end. Clearly you were not valued as you should have been. Who needs that! We will pray for that something to come very soon.

Tilly and Toby's Mum here. Hang in there! We are all thinking and praying for you. Temping is actually not bad. The link below may help a bit.

Yes, I agree with Princess Mia. Sign up with a temp agency, maybe even more than one. If one can't place you perhaps another can. More opportunity at more spots.

Mum wented this route over 10 years ago. She purposely quit her old job, since she was changing careers. Then worked as a temp. Got into a good company and they like her and kept asking for her when they needed a temp. She finally gotted a real job there. And now after nearly 12 years, working hard and learning lots, she has a really important job.

Also many companies now do the temp to hire route. So they use temps to see if they will work out, and if they like them, then hire them full time. Plus you get to check out if you like the company. It goes both ways. Good luck, will will keep your mum in our prayers.

We feel so bad about the job. You're right -- Black Friday it is. We will pray for you also. Try the temp agency, it's worth a shot and then you can pick and choose where you want to go instead of being at the mercy of some yucky place.

I'm sorry bout your Mom's job, Brandi. I know it's pretty scary, specially when last time got so bad. Princess Mia is right about temp agencies an maybe placement firms being a good way to keep werking while job hunting. That's how Mom got her job - she fell back on puter skills an they placed her as a secretary... 11 years later, she's kinda created her own job as a 'real' employee of the same place. We sincerely hope efurryfing werks out for you both.
