Mommy, it's been waaaaayyy too long!  Post today!

We I got an award from Cat Wisdom 101 a bunch of days ago.  Thank you, and sorry this took so long!

Now a little about this award.  It was originated by our handsome friend Nerissa. And has been passed around a bit. And WE I got it from our lovely friends at Cat Wisdom 101.  Visit the blog, by the way, and they have lots of kitty information and giveaways and stuff you want to read about.
Any-whoo (I think Nerissa would say that, don't you?) this is the original way to accept this award as Nerissa stated in his blog:

There are some things one must do in acceptin' this award but they're pretty simple things.  All one must do is thank the blogger who gave you the award and put in a little linky to their blog, on yours.  Then post the award on your blog and tell all your readers what your six favourite things are.  And finally, pass the award on to as many bloggers as you would like.  It could be just a couple or lots and lots.  Whatever tickles your whiskers.

So, my six favorite things (Nissy is Canadian, after all, and we live in the States, so we spell different):
1.  My Mommy, cause she's turning out to be an excellent slave guardian.

Friday Stuff

Mommy is sitting in her new chair as she is typing this for me. I am on the daybed sitting like a loaf watching her every keystroke. 
I have been thoroughly enjoying my box today. The weatherman said "sunny" but it got all foggy and is raining, so the box is purrfect for a rainy day.
The reason Mommy has had to delay paying her health insurance is that she paid for the chair with her own monies, not with the paypal account.  That (with an exception a few months ago for paying a utility bill so the check wouldn't go boing) is entirely for my own expenses.  So I think mommy was making a joke about my litter yesterday.
Mentioning this, I should thank everyone who has been able to contribute to my paypal account. You have no idea how helpful this has been.  From my favorite litter (Cat Attract) to my favorite foodies (Chicken Soup for the Catlover's Soul and Purina One Step Beyond) any V-E-T stuff and my new bed and some promised cat toys on their way here (Mommy already spilled the beans about one of them--DaBird!) that is what your monies goes for.  ME. So thank you, thank you, thank you! Especially for the litter and food! And I can't wait for DaBird!
Doesn't Baby Patches do a good job with quality control at Nip and Bones? I have to admit I like the pillow part of my new bed kinda.

But the box is calling me.... Have a wonderful weekend, all!

ps. Mommy didn't even say one bad word when she put together the chair yesterday.  I was proud of her. And the customer comments on the chair said it took 10 minutes to put together.  Try an hour. THAT took a lot of control! Good Mommy.  You deserve a treat.  Go get some more iced tea. I'm generous.

Thankful Thursday

I'm not sure if I should be thankful or not, but Mommy says yes.  She got another package. ANOTHER! And it wasn't for me.  It is a chair. But it's for Mommy:

 I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE BOX! So I guess THAT'S what she meant.  Thankful for a new box.  Okay: 

I guess I should say I am thankful for a new box (as long as she lets me keep it), and Mommy is thankful her tush won't hurt anymore on that hard folding chair (you can see part of it to the right of the box).

She just can't pay her health insurance this month.... and is thankful the chair probably isn't too much green papers that she can't  buy my kitty litter. Whoa. Probably??? Help!

Monday Hoping

We are hoping our UK friends are hoping for a royal little Princess girl, cause girls RULE! I've been hoping for a girl, so I've been resting my head on brandi's pink blankie.  Of course, if it's a boy, well, pink is also macho, and Skeezix proved it!
Happy Royal Birth, friends across the Pond! Oh, and all the Commonwealth, like Canada and Australia.

Easy on Sunday

It is finally cool here, but the weatherpeople keep saying it is not going to last. So we will take what we can get.  Open windows last night and this morning were very welcome. So it will be an Easy Sunday while it lasts.
Mommy is complaining about her folding chair, but she's managing.
She says I almost look like Angel brandi in this picture, but I swear it's ME. Can't she tell by my nose?

To Honor a Dog

This post is dedicated to Schoep and John, his guardian. Schoep reached 20. And he has just passed over the Bridge. This man is to be honored for the life he gave his dog and the dog honored for what he gave his man. And letting his dog fall asleep on his chest in the water, because that calmed the dog's arthritic body?  More love than many souls on earth.
We know what that's like.
We are fortunate.

Sort of Wordy Wednesday

Thank you those of you who made it over here yesterday. And thanks for cleaning up! Mommy didn't suspect a thing. Except she found lots of different color furs on the daybed. Oh, well. So we're not purrfect sometimes.
Yesterday it made it up to 92 degrees F.  Today I think it will be worse. Mommy's staying home today! Don't forget to vote at the Petties. And it would help if you voted for Glogirly, cause there would be monies going to Feline Rescue, which is where I found Mommy, and it is the nicest place with the nicest humans. Really. They clean every day and make sure everyone is played with and is feeling okay and is eating properly. They are particularly caring towards disabled kitties, making sure they have lots of love. Love is VERY important. For all of us!
Stay cool, you who are in hot places. Shade, cool water if you are outside.
I would almost suggest lakes and pools, but I'll leave those to the woofies.

There was a reason I wouldn't let anyone on the office chair.  It was infected with a bug. Or lots of bugs. Mommy had it removed this morning. Now all we have left is one folding chair and a rocking chair. If you could donate a little towards her getting another office chair, that would be so nice. Thank you very very much.

Tuesday News! We got News!

I caved!

This is the pillow from my new cat bed. I do like it. Mommy says one paw at a time:

When she was passing through my room yesterday evening she found me curled up on my new pillow. So she rushed to get her camera. This is what was in my Nip and Bones box (plus the rest of the cat bed).
Well, yes, I know, but the pillow IS comfy.  Not sure about the rest of the bed....
Mommy is gone today, so I have the place to myself.  The a/c cooly thing will be left on, so anyone who wants to come over can. I get the pillow!! You can have the daybed or the boxes or the linen shelf! We'll even have brandi's pink blankie on the shelf so it is comfy and soft.

Caturday Stuff

At 3:30 am (Mommy's time) there was a huge monsterous loud CRACK!!!!! and Mommy almost jumped out of bed. We had thunder bumpers for quite a while.  Now if Mommy had closed the windows and turned the a/c cooly thing on before she went to bed maybe it would have been a bit less noisy. Just sayin', Mom. I do like the nice breezes, but quiet ones.
So our nice few days of sunpuddles is gone today.  I understand Mommy said the a/c cooly thing will actually get turned on as soon as it gets hot and humid again. *sigh*
Not that I mind the cooly thing.  But having the windows open and cool breezes just can't be beat.
Yesterday we got a box. From Nip and Bones!  AND IT WAS FOR ME!!! So I got to play in my new box, and it is pretty cool.  Mommy wasn't into "flashy boxes" yesterday, so there are no pictures. We apologize.  Anyway, there was this big soft looking thing in the box that Mommy said was mine, too, but I don't believe her. She put it on my Rolling Cart by the window, so I had to sleep with Mommy last night instead of the cart. She said it was my new bed.  I don't believe her. I think it's some kind of monster. So I can't get on my cart now.
I have to plan some kind of attack, so I will have to think hard today.  Thinking is what we cats do, right?  And I am going to think in my shelf in the linen closet and ON MOMMY'S BED.  After all, it really is mine, any way.
