Baby, it's cold outside, but have an Easy Sunday anyway.  "They" keep promising Spring is on its way!

Wordy Wednesday!

 Yes, thank you, Mommy had me snuggling this morning and telling her Happy Birthday. And she had fun playing with Da Bird with me!
Last night was a resident council meeting, and she got volunteered to work in the new computer lab in the Community Room.  But she really doesn't know anything about laptop computers. We don't have one, you see. I would love it if we did, cause then Mommy and I could snuggle better when we read blogs and stuff.  And she could read her books (we download from the library) anywhere.  Like at the waiting room of the doctor's office. Anyway, she has to go to a meeting tomorrow afternoon about it. :-(  And no, she doesn't get to have her own laptop by volunteering.
Today she had planned to go out to lunch or something, but she doesn't have the money right now. She did get a card in the mail yesterday from one of her sisters. And one of her brothers has called her three times this week to talk and remember her birthday.  It's not hard for him to remember, cause Mommy shares her birthday with his oldest daughter! Mommy just wishes he lived closer and they could "hang out".
It is nice and sunny today, but it's back to being colder. A couple of days ago it was 53 degrees Fahrenheit now it's 21.  That's minus 6 for you who use Celsius!  We actually had window whiffles! Yes, Mommy had the windows open! But not today! But the sunpuddles are getting warmer! There's hope for spring! Mommy changed the background on our computer today.  It was glass all frosted over.

Now it's a summer picture of the Minnehaha Falls. All green stuff instead of snow stuff!

 Don't know what else is happening today.  I'm letting Mommy get back to her book soon. That's all I know.
Somebody send her a laptop? Like that's going to happen!

Friday's Here!

Our inspection was okay. The person who did our inspection was the assistant here and, well, she and I are really good friends. When she's here she talks pretty to me and gives me nice scritchies. She has a kitty of her own, so she likes kitties!
Mommy is done with Aunty Biotic and her owie is healing nicely. It still hurts sometimes, though, but not like it did!
Mommy's birthday is next week and I wish I had some green papers to buy her something nice, but she doesn't give me an allowance (so I can't afford to get her a present). So I will just be a good girl for her that day. And let her scritchie me and pet me and brush me and listen to my pretty purrs. She likes that. I think she was going out for lunch that day or something, but since she bought me my Cat Attract and foodies she doesn't have any green papers for herself.

I missed  Toesie Tuesday!

Well, I'm closer to Mommy here, and easy for her to scritchie me!

It's actually warm today.  Mommy just checked the temps and she says its 32 degrees F. Or 0 Celsius. A heat wave in these parts! Who cares if it snows a bit today, and there isn't any sun. It's a heat wave!

Wordless Wednesday

Monday Mutters

Well, Monday again. Mommy cleaned this weekend, and laughed at me as I walked around the side of the floors when they were wet. But I have to snoopervise, right? 
Anyway, her owie is on the mend, but still uncomfortable. She's still taking Aunty Biotic. And this week is the annual inspection, so she wishes her leg would heal faster. She wants to do even MORE cleaning.  I think it's called decluttering. I think that means I lose my big box. Waaah!
So now you know stuff.
Update on me: Mommy says I am much better at showing her my belly and having it rubbed. She says I have been very defensive about it since I came here, and she loves that I feel comfortable having belly rubs. I still don't eat out of her hand like lots of you do. But she said brandi took her time about that, too. Trust can be hard for us rescues. I do purr lots for her. And demand her attention A LOT.

Thankful Thursday

Since this is Thankful Thursday I want to be thankful for yesterday. You see, Mommy had a bad owie and had to go somewhere called Urgent Care at her clinic. That's where you go to see a human vet when you don't have an appointment. It took her two hours to see a doctor but the doctor she saw was very nice and she was very grateful. She had to get some medicine for her owie and when she did it was waaaayy expensive and she asked if she could have something else. The man behind the counter was very helpful and told her to sit in the waiting area and he would take care of that. And after more waiting he came back and she could get something else which was waaaayy cheaper. Now the ride home was very long, and Mommy was tired from all that waiting around, and her owie still hurt a lot, but she said the driver was very nice to look at and that sort of made up for the long ride. (I really don't understand that one, but maybe he was the people version of handsome?). Then she was still tired and lay down for a while.  And kitties and woofies, I was very sweet to her and curled up next to her till she felt better. SHE said that was the nicest thing! So I think I am thankful she went to the clinic, and thankful she liked me being sweet, and thankful she is the one that has to take Aunty Biotic's pills, not me, for the next ten days.

Oh, no, more snow!

Oh, who told the weather it could snow again. Honestly, where is spring??
I found a new hidey space today.  This is Mommy's grocery bag. Well, she left it on the floor so it's mine now.  Until she picks it up. She says she likes it cause it has a zipper and the funny white netting on the outside is for flat stuff, like carrying her book so she can read while she waits for her ride home.
Stay warm, all.  It can't be that many eons and eons till spring greens up the place.
