Yesterday was kinda quiet around here. Mommy took lots of naps for her present to herself, read, and watched a little tv. One of our lovely blogger friends sent Mommy some monies, but she hasn't spent it yet. She is going to take herself out to eat, but it is going to be later this week.
She had an appointment today. Its too late to order a ride for tomorrow, and our cleaner comes back Wednesday. So it has to be Thursday. Now she just has to make her mind up where she is going.
Hope you all have a nice Monday. Hey yesterday we woke up to SNOW.
Silly weatherpeople on tv! Cut it out. Spring or winter, make up your minds!
love ya,
Quinnie

Another Tuxie Tuesday
ππππ»ππππWhoa! Stop with the emoji stuff, Mom!
Hi!!!! We are still here! We are doing okay. Happy Tuxie Tuesday!
She's experiencing some pain, but the new high blood pills they prescribed in the hospital over a month ago (took her old one away and gave her two more different ones), well, don't know how they affect her blood pressure, really, but her swollen feet? Not anymore!! Mostly GONE!!! She is so happy about that. She's had swollen feet for years, Angel brandi told me!
Mommy's birthday is next week and instead of buying herself something, like all good mommies she decided to buy ME two presents and her nothing. Isn't she sweet?
Money is kinda tight, as usual, so she is buying me a couple things and is not telling me what. All she says is that they are useful items, not toys for me to play with. I really don't play with toys much any more, I am 5! Well, maybe a good game of Da Bird and an occasional red dot chase, but that's because Mommy has fun playing them with me. I have a favorite pink mousey and my Pink Tickle Pickle of course, which are in my Sleepy Pod, and an occasional milk ring that Mommy drops just for me. And once in a while a good Chewey box to curl up in.
Mommy says that no, it isn't a new Chewey box, but that one is coming with my foodies soon. So that doesn't count. I love my Chewey boxes, they just don't say around long (building rules--they are pest collectors. For their information I AM NOT A PEST!!)
Oh, that reminds me. Last week we had a bug guy again. Since we have had two weeks with our new cleaner/organizer we actually had him work in here. We camped out outside our apartment and heard him! Then he had to spoil it all and say as he left "You still have bed bugs".
NO WE DON'T. MOMMY HAS NOT SEEN ONE FOR WEEKS OR BEEN BITTEN BY ANYTHING. YOU LIE, MR. BUG GUY!!
Oh, and our cleaner had to be cancelled last week because of that nasty bug guy, and she is going to be on vacation this week, so we won't see her till next week. she redid our pantry and Mommy can find things now. Still don't know where some things went, but the replacements are here!
Maybe someone could send us a pizza for Mommy's birthday?? We both like sausage!
Love ya,
Quinnie Makayla!

Sunday Stuff
ππππHappy Sunday, all!
We've been having a sort of heat wave (up to 60's!) but they say snow is not very far away. Mouses!
Mommy says hush. We don't go out in the snow anyway, so let the poor snowbuffs enjoy it.
Mommy got sick on her chili the other night. She gave me a little bit and it was okay with me. But after she threw up she felt okay. I just thought it was good. No problem with me. Course, I only had a little taste of it.
Our cleaner didn't exactly clean, but we had bags of recycling! And they only did half the living room. She's sposed to come back this week. Declutter heaven around here is coming. Do I mean clutter free?
We are getting groceries delivered today. Mommy says it is going to cost us double what we normally spend. But that's because she can't find the tomato soup at hand, the paper plates, and a couple other things. A neighbor helped reorganize the pantry, and mommy has to reorganize it again because she can't find things. So she did try to replace some stuff with our grocery order, and that costs us. Honestly, she dumped all the canned goods on the floor and still couldn't find the soup. 8 cans of it!
Have a great week, all!

Post Valentine's Day
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥We're here! Miss us? We've just been busy. Yesterday Mommy had to go downtown and get a copy of her bank statement to verify her account. Guess what? She did everything but. Silly woman!
The bank did have some mini cream puffs, but she didn't bring me one.
You can't apparently copy a statement on line, just print, and our printer is not set up right. It's gonna take up to 5 days for the copy to be mailed to us. Yuck. She went downtown to get it immediately. Oh, well.
Well, beyond that I'm taking very good care of Mommy. She's feeling much better. Almost every night I let her give me belly rubs, and she likes that.
She found an inexpensive Kindle to replace the one that broke, so she is reading books from the library again. We're talking less than $50. Smart Mommy. Now she is happy again.
She supposedly found another cleaner, but we will see how this one works out.
Mommy had the little baby cream puff for a Valentine's treat, but all I got was extra scritchies and kissies. All? They were the best!
Hope you had a very sweet Valentine's Day with your sweeties!

Thursday Thankful
Today is starting out very sunny. Lots of sunny spots (till the sun moves away--we live on the east side of the building). Our lovely new cleaner has found another job, so we are still going through the profiles again on Care.com. At least the kitchen is clean!
Now, firefox has not been opening for us. We have been using internet explorer for several days. But today Mommy tried to fix it. Cross your fingers and paws. It works, and Mommy doesn't really understand it, but she followed some directions that (to her) didn't make sense but brought it back. For how long is unknown. But we do have the other browser, so we are okay. Mommy was just determined to make firefox work.
I started meowing like crazy, non-stop, this morning early. Till Mommy figured out I needed my water bowl refreshed. Aren't parents dumb sometimes? But we are superior beings and persistence is kinda our thing, right?
The promise of clean laundry. Well, we are still waiting! And yesterday Mommy added the pillow and comforter. Which meant Mommy slept on my chair in the living room. It IS a recliner, after all.
She wasn't even grouchy this morning.
And I got the whole bed!
What the rest of the day will bring is unknown.
Just like it should be.
Did that groundhog make a prediction today? We haven't looked at that part of the news today.
Mommy had an accident yesterday (minor). No, she wasn't hurt. She knocked my PTU into the tower fan and now the fan won't rotate. If you don't want it to rotate it works fine. On rotate it makes this horrible hellish noise.
Almost back to normal, aren't we. Thank our Heavenly Father. And all the angel kitties, of course.
Love ya,
QUINNIE
ps. I lied. we get on a starter page and all our bookmarks are gone and our homepage doesn't open either.

Wordy Wednesday
Hey, good morning!
Not really so good here, but we are trying. Mommy's tummy was being mean to her this morning. She threw up a banana! And she loves them! We also had the annual inspection and didn't pass. However our kitchen is spotless and so is our bathroom. Come on, peoples. we just hired a cleaner and she did the kitchen Monday. She's coming back tomorrow.
Later today Mommy's neighbors are going to do more laundry. My comfy place on top of dirty laundry is GONE!
Mommy has been dealing with her "Foley bag" having a hole in it for several days. She had to put it in a pan to catch the drips. It took her two days, calls to the hospital, her doctor, nurse etc. and she finally after lunch yesterday got her new one delivered.
I told mommy to go back to bed. But her bedding is being washed, including her pillow! So go sit in my chair, silly.
My job is never done.

Saturday Situation
πΎOh, good morning. I have been letting Mommy give me tummy rubs ( I don't often get in the mood for them) and cuddles this morning.
Last night she threw all the bedclothes aside (down to the mattress protectors) and curled up with an afghan, cause all the sheets and stuff were dirty. I put my head in her hand and there we were, sleepin' away. I was so comfy and my Mommy felt so warm and comfy there were no worries till today.
Today one of the neighbors is going to help do some of the dirty laundry so that Mommy has clothes to wear and we have fresh sheets and a clean comforter for the bed.
Mommy can't decide what to wish for. Delivery pizza (and BBQ chicken), a nice double quarter pounder with cheese and bacon (!) and some Mickey fries, or a thick malt or two. Doesn't hurt to wish, she says.
Mommy has already gathered some loose dishes to wash, and plans to clean the fridge of any old foodies inside today. She is also going to read some of the 1700 emails she has gotten since she went to hospital.
We really wish someone would come over with some tasty casseroles and foodies for Mommy so she could have some nutritious foodies to just heat up, but that won't happen. We do have Meals on Wheels starting again on Monday. That will help.
Mommy says she wishes she could go to the store and get a few things, but we don't have the transportation. And she would be tempted to go for that hamburger, too.
This is a gloomy day, but Mommy is here, so it is a happy day for me.

Happy Friday
π»Last night Mommy just crashed and slept till Morning. Now, that's without waking up a lot! When I heard her stir a little this morning I jumped up on her and she petted me and said good morning. Now, I never did that before, but every once in a while now I jump up on her and she pets me and says she likes that and hey, maybe I do too. I want her to be happy and stay with me all the time!
She's busy trying to find a housecleaner. So many made promises that they would help her find someone and didn't that she is really tackling that herself. No wonder she crashed last night! It seems to be hard work!
The hospital stay was very nice, she said. The OT and PT was okay, she said. Very hard, though.
The nursing place she went to was hell. She couldn't eat the food, kept really strange hours (she had to wake up at 5 in the morning and breakfast was at almost 8 and they wanted everyone to go to bed at 8:30 in the evening, woke people up at strange hours, wouldn't give the right medicine, claimed that the doctor saw her (never saw him, ever) and tried to keep her there. And all she had was her cell because the phones in the rooms didn't work.
Now the building is saying they want her to clean up her act, so she's trying to find a good housecleaner. She found that a lot of stuff she was trying to do when she was sick was off, like paying bills and stuff. Any smiles you can send (as well as the usual prayers and good thoughts) would be appreciated. Green papers and little things for her to eat and stuff, too.
She dropped her Kindle one too many times and it died, so she has to find green papers to buy a new one. Help, anyone?
We are looking forward to sometime in the near (?) future this home clean and shining and one that nobody bothers us in.
Happy Friday, kitties and woofies and beans. We missed being here and all of you.
love ya,
QUINNIE

HERE IT IS!

MOMMY is HOME!!!!!
Yes, my Mommy is home!
She came home last night and I greeted her at the door and I have barely moved from her side....or her lap. Yessss! I said LAP!!!! I got lots of scritchies and love and gave her oodles, too. First thing this morning I buried my face in her and I am purring and purring!
My neighbor friends who were watching me even gave me their cat's special canned food as a little treat when Mommy was gone, but MOMMY'S HOME! They took care of me really good, but Mommy is HERE!
Thanks for all your prayers and kind thoughts. They really helped.
Mommy has oodles of stuff to to so I am cutting this short. But be assured, I am glued to her!!!!!
LOVE YOU ALL,
QUINNIE

Happy New Year
Thank you for your assistance in 2016! I know it is
awfully hard for lots of people (and furfriends) to help, but you won't
believe how your gifts, kind words and prayers lighten our hearts. They
let me order the food and cat litter that are healthy (i LOVE cHEWEY).
Quinnie has been so attentive and sweet to me through my illness
(although no is still not in her vocabulary much but she IS a cat).
actually trying to comfort me when she senses my pain radiating, or reminding me
that we haven't eaten or I haven't taken my meds.
She loves her pink Tickle Pickle, but doesn't really play with toys much (except she has this sudden obsession with one of my land phone coils).
I have been really ill and dealing with a lot of people trying to ignore me or plain being annoying or rude. When I think people are finally helping me they "sign off" my case. Were they surprised when I finally reported one of the maintenance people here and fired someone who was supposedly "working my case" by telling me what to do instead of offering real solutions?
There are lots of bad stuff going on.all over the world. Christmas was very hard for a lot of people. No presents? No tree? I had to not watch the Christmas specials to survive. And Christmas is my very very favorite time of year! Imagine what natural disasters and war and poverty are doing to lives everywhere!
I hope this year brings us all a lot better healthy and happy life. We certainly have the love down pat in our little (growing) family on the internet.
Thank you all for being here. I hope this year I can get healthy. But I also want to remind you all that if you can't help financially with those of us who do need help please send your best wishes and your prayers. THEY are also very precious.
Peace and love for all of you,
Carol
and my sweet lady cat,
Quinnie
