Sunday Evening

Well, mama knows what she is going to wear tomorrow, knows what she is bringing for lunch, and knows her bus schedules. I guess she is ready. She is going to get there early tomorrow, because it's her first day and she doesn't know where to go except to check in at the security desk and ask for a certain person. Then after tomorrow she will take a later bus, maybe, from downtown. And it will all probably change when we move.

Mama is starting to really brush me, now, cause she says any day I will start shedding my winter coat. She lets me brush my face by myself, and it feels really good.

I will miss mama tomorrow, but I hope she does okay for her first day at the temp jobbie. The bus schedule has her walking extra, so she should get a lot of exercise. I will have the place to myself, to do whatever I want! I think that's a good thing, huh? Hope she remembers to feed me! And doesn't forget her lunch and stuff!

Saturday Update

We haven't found a new partment yet. That is going to be our next project. First, mama has to settle into her new temp jobbie so she can tell how long it takes to leave and get home at night so she can tell when to make appointments to see places. She has her eye on one now. I wish she could try again for the other partment we almost had, but it might not be a good idea. It was purrfect, though. *sigh*

Mama made a biggie mess today with a bucket of soapy water. The handle broke and it spilled, and she said a naughty word. So the carpet is wet by the bathroom, and the bathroom floor gotted really clean.

Maybe after we move we can have a party with hamm and stuff. Wouldn't that be a good time? A new place and a sort of jobbie to celebrate. Then she would have maybe enough moneys to pay for a party. We have kitty food. We always have water. We have Temptations. We have toys to play with. We have blankies for snuggling nap piles. We would just need the hamm pizza!

Hmmm. A party. Hamm! Spring! A new partment! Oohhh!

Bad News and Sort of Good News

Well, the bad news is that the medical insurance is once again denied, so mama has to pay for the hospital bill when it comes. They didn't bother to tell her this, of course. And the EBT (food stamps) is gone, too. Because she has a burial insurance plan it's considered an asset, and we are denied everything. Very bad news. She has put in a complaint with the county commissioner's office about this obsurdity. The plan would only pay about half her funeral expenses as it is. Sheesh.

Sort of good news: while she waits for a full time jobbie, mama has been accepted by the temp service, and starts a temp job on Monday. So, in a couple of weeks she will be on their insurance plan, and will be able to get her meds again. The jobbie will last over the summer. If the place she interviewed with this week wants her, she will simply quit the temp job, and switch over. The temp job is only about a hundred dollars a month more than unemployment insurance takehome-wise, so it will be very tight for us, but at least it is an income for us, and hopefully the next apartment place will accept it and okay us. We may still need references, but not co-sponsors. The full time jobbie is more money and benefits and Union. With the temp jobbie we will be able to pay rent for next month, whereever we go. Cross your paws!

That's the good and bad news. Other good news: Shhh. Monday is mama's birfday.

Question: cause it's only a temp jobbie, do I still have to wait for a party and my hamm pizza? Inquiring minds want to know! (me)

Thursday

Kind of a blah day. Not a whole lot of sun, but I still got some sunbeams in the window! Warmer today. Mama said my ears were warm when I came down from the window and sat on her lap.

I even gotted HAMM today. Mama shared her lunch.

Mama has a possibility of a temp jobbie that would last till fall, and she put her name in for two others. We'll see. If she gets the other jobbie (the full time one), she can always quit the temp job, but have a couple of weeks moneys to help us. We'll see, like I said.

Now all we need to do is finish up here and MOVE.

Wednesday Update

Mama had an interview today, and it lasted an hour and a half! Hmm. Maybe that's good! But when she lefted the place she fell on some ice and hurted her knee and part of her back, so that was bad! After she gotted up and caughted a bus, she stopped in at the temp place and they have finally cleared her. Unfortunately, while she was at the interview, they called her for a jobbie, but I was the only one home. And they filled it. But there is hope she'll get another temp job. They said to check on line and stuff on a regular basis and call in a lot. Sounds a lot better than the other temp place!

The real jobbie place will probably let her know by the middle of next week. She said she can so do that jobbie, and it's even Union! What ever that means.

So I have missed mama today, but the sun has been out and the sunbeams are warm, and besides, mama has lots of blankies and stuff I can curl up on, so I didn't miss her too bad. And she remembered to feed me and give me my new water, so that part was okay.

Tuesday News

Well, mama took a word survey for one of the places she had a phone interview yesterday. And thanked them for the interview. And today, the owner stopped in, and was actually nice to us. We still have to leave at the end of this month, but he likes the de-cluttering mama has been doing.

Oh, and guess what? Mama has a real interview tomorrow, downtown. Woo-Hoo. It is a place she would really like to work. I have my paws crossed.

That's it. No other news. I got to nap in the sun again this afternoon for a little while, and dream of my Sugar Pie....

Monday News

Well, mama had her two interviews today. She will find out if she will get another interview withing 1 to 2 weeks for them both. What a wait! Nothing else went on today. Sunny windows this afternoon, and the extra special stinky goodness today! We hear that by the weekend it will be in the 40's and there will be a lot of melting going on, but tomorrow it is going to snow again.

Sunday

It was supposed to be warmer today, but inside it was kinda not. So we snuggled today a lot. But this afternoon the sun was just too tempting, and I curled up in the window. Nice. Beans are still having problems getting out of our parking lot here, and that is just outside my window.

Mama shared her lunch with me, too, today. I am spoiled sometimes, huh?

Mama wants to know something. I like my fur brushed towards my head, not down to my tail. Anyone else prefer this, or am I *gasp* odd.

Tomorrow mama has two phone interviews. One with an insurance company and one with an accountant firm. Fingers crossed! We still haven't heard from the temp agency about mama passing the background check, but given the snowyday we had on Friday, she's being patient.

Mama's brother called her. He was laid off the same time as she was, and he is working temps now. Wow. Sure is hard to find a jobbie these days.

A Snow Day

Nothing much to say. It is a snow day today and tomorrow. Lots and lots of snow. Pretty looking out the window! Glad we didn't have to move by today! Glad mama gets to stay home.

We really aren't doing a lot of cleaning. Mostly discarding a lot of accumulated stuff. Then comes cleaning, and it won't be that bad. Its the stuff that the owner didn't like, mostly. And me.

Mama has a phone interview on Monday, and has applied for a job at one of the colleges here. The same one that she interviewed a little while ago. But this job is more in line with what she can do, so maybe!
