Guess What Today Is!

Hey, did you know it is Giving Tuesday? And it is an international event! I think that's kind of cool. We wish we could participate, but are spreading the word anyway. That's participating, isn't it? Give to your favorite charity today! Or a new charity. Make up for all the green papers you spent on Black Friday and Cyber Monday and give some hope, instead.
Speaking of green papers, peoples have asked me what has been added to our PayPal account. Mommy has just enough to pay for this month's insulin! Woo-hoo! A little over half our needs! We are so grateful to you all! We know some of you are in the same spot as us, living on fixed incomes and all, so please let the blogosphere know if you need help, too.
The bug guys were here this morning, so we got that taken care of.  Tomorrow Mommy goes to the clinic about her diabetes.
Does anybody know how you ask Medicare for a walker? We know that the people vet has to write a prescription for it, but who do you give the paper to? Mommy definitely needs a walker!
And speaking of my Mommy, she still aches a lot from her fall. She said 40 years ago she would have been up and forgotten all about the spill. Now, she knows she's going to hurt for a few days! She must be older than dirt! Don't let her know I said that! I like my massages and pets and rubbies and scritchies and my foodies! I don't need her mad at me. No way!
There is no sunshine today. Maybe tomorrow. Mommy said the temperature is barely in the double digits (20), but that's all you can say about it. And don't even talk  about Celsius! That number is a negative one (-7)!
Giving Tuesday is also Tuxie Tuesday. And Tortie Tuesday. And a lot of other Tuesday things. But you know what? Tuxie Tuesday is the best! After Giving Tuesday, of course!
love ya,
QUINN

Thank you for sharing that your needs for help with your meds. is being met! It helps to see that things are working out. Be encouraged for the rest to come to you. I will continue to prayer for provision to find it’s way to you. Blessings.

Quinn is so beautiful. She looks very, very much like a greatly loved kitty we got to have for a short time this last year. He will always be so loved and missed. We hope to have another beautiful Tuxie again someday. But for now, I would love to give Quinn lots of gentle caresses and chin scratches. Blessings upon her for a wonderful life.

Best wishes,
Lily

The bloggers are just terrific for helping people out. Glad she had enough for the insulin. Maybe Santa will come visit all of you. Take care.

This may not help but Mom knows here that Goodwill always has a lot of canes and walkers at a very very very low price.

Sweet Quinn we are so sorry your mom still has aches from the fall. We wish we could help her with the walker but we have no idea what she should do to get one. We do hope she gets one and very soon. Hugs and nose kisses

In Oklahoma, you just have your Dr. fax a prescription for a walker to a medical supply place and they will do all that nasty paperwork. Many times they will deliver the walker to you, too. Pretty easy, really. I just got one with a seat in it for my Mom. I would think it would be pretty much the same where you live. Good luck and take care of yourself.

Happy Tuxie Tuesday!!! If you Mom gets her script from the doctor, she should be able to take it somewhere that has walkers like walmart or if you have a specialty store that supplies home health products and they should be able to supply it. So happy that your Mom can afford her insulin this month!!!!! WooHoo!!!!!

Hooray fur the insulin supply need being met.

Goodwill and other thrift shops almost always have decent walkers. Maybe if you let them know of your need they can call you when one with a seat comes available.
Meowmy got lots of things for pawppy a few years ago when he had hip replacement surgery...a walker, potty seat, bath chair, etc. Less than $20 for all of them together!

Dat's like pawsum news Quinn. Glad yous mommy can get hers meds. As fur da walker. Hav yous doctor write da scwipt and fax it to a DME (durable medical equipment company. Yous can look them up in da foe book under walkers or medical equipment. find one yous like just in case yous doctor wants to know where to send it. And then they and yous mommys doctor will do da paperworks and da pages of red tape, and da DME will call you to deliver it to you. Then they will wanna show yous how to use it and such, but hey, at least yous wuld hav it. Weez happy dat fings be workin' out. Weez'll be purrayin' fur y'all.

Didn't hear from you in reference to our donation, so not sure if you got it. Sorry we couldn't do much but we are in a rather bad place ourselves.

A lot of senior centers have them available. I know in my town when someone passes away you can donate stuff like that to them and they will pass it along. I donated to your paypal for my weekly Wednesday ROAR.

Wouldn't it be great if helping others out was just something we all did all the time...
